IMG_03093Pastor Djuan B. Rich, Sr. is the founder and pastor of Victory Temple Ministries COGIC located in Holly Springs, N.C. He is a 1986 graduate of Lakewood high school Roseboro, N.C. He also attended Fayetteville State University and East Carolina University where he majored in commercial art. In 2001 Pastor Rich graduated from the Church of God in Christ Academy and was ordained an Elder. He is also a graduate of D.Z. Barber College, Spring Lake N.C. He was a well known and respected businessman for several years being an entrepreneur. After several years of management, he opened Shekinah Cuts barber shop in Fayetteville, N.C. Next he opened two additional shops, Shekinah Cuts #2 and Razor’s Edge. He employed many people over the years and won most of his employees to Christ. Over the years many have come just to “get a good hair cut” but left converted to Christ.
Pastor Rich was a member of the Upper Room COGIC under the leadership of Dr. Patrick L. Wooden, Sr. where he served faithfully for almost 15 years. He was pastor Wooden’s assistant to the Ministers in Training 7am “Morning Glory Class” for many years. He also served on the security team for the church and always found work for his hands to do in the ministry.

The vision of Victory Temple Ministries was given to Pastor Rich while he served as an Elder at the Upper Room COGIC. After meeting with his pastor Dr. Patrick L. Wooden, Sr. it was confirmed that this was the will of God. After fasting, praying, and seeking the Lord, Pastor Rich accepted God’s call to start Victory Temple Ministries in Fuquay-Varina N.C. Pastor Rich walked through the city of Fuquay-Varina asking God to give him the city for His glory. While walking the heavens opened up and rain fell upon Pastor Rich and he took this as a sign that just as the rain covered him, God would shower down blessings for the new ministry. The first service was held on February 4, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Express in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. The conference room was turned into a sanctuary for God and quickly grew to capacity. On July 1, 2007, God blessed us with our current sanctuary located at 300 Rogers Street in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Just 6 months after acquiring the building in Holly Springs, God opened a door for Victory Temple to purchase 23 acres of land.
This will be the site of the new sanctuary, as well as “The City of Victory” which will include a multipurpose facility to serve the community, a retirement home for the elderly, a school for Christian education and a strip mall for businesses. Pastor Rich preaches the whole man message and believes that it is God’s will for us to be blessed both spiritually and naturally. He preaches a challenging message causing the believer to elevate both spiritually and naturally and to become that which God has called them to be.

He has been married to his college “sweetheart”, the lovely 1st lady Amy for over 20 years. Together they have two handsome sons, Djuan Jr. and Adrian Mical. Pastor Rich accredits his deep love for God to his late mother Gatsie Rich, for it was her who taught him about the love of God both by precept and example. He also accredits his ability to accurately handle the word of God to his pastor Dr. Pastor Patrick L. Wooden, Sr. having studied under him for almost 15 years.

Pastor Rich is a dedicated husband and father. God has made him victorious in many areas of his life, hence the name of the church Victory Temple Ministries. He is an apologist and defender of the faith. His goal is to preach the unadulterated gospel to the world and to let the world know that there is victory in Jesus and that Jesus is still the only answer to life’s perplexities.
